Private Label Sachet & Stick Pack Manufacturer: Coffee, Collagen & Energy Drinks (MOQ, Costs, Printing)
Instant coffee, collagen powder, fiber, electrolytes, energy drinks — most of the fastest-growing wellness products ship in a sachet or stick pack. The format is cheap, light and perfect for online sales. But new brands are regularly surprised by one line on the quote: the printing setup for the foil. This guide explains how private label sachet manufacturing really works, what it costs and how to avoid the common mistakes.
Sachet vs stick pack: which format?
- Flat sachet (3- or 4-side seal): the classic square pack for coffee, collagen and fiber powders, typically 10–25g. Lower cost per unit and easy to box.
- Stick pack: the long, slim tube — premium look, pours cleanly into a bottle, ideal for collagen, electrolytes and energy drinks at 3–15g.
- Retail box: both formats are usually sold in boxes of 10, 15 or 30. Most brands quote and sell per box, not per sachet.
Rule of thumb: stick packs sell a premium story; flat sachets win on cost. Many brands launch a box of 10 flat sachets to test the market, then add a 30-stick pack once the product is proven.
What the unit price includes
A private label sachet quote normally covers the formula (the powder), filling and sealing, and the retail box. Two things are priced separately and trip up first-time buyers:
- The printing cylinder or plate. Sachet foil is printed on rolls using a cylinder (gravure) or plate (flexo), one per colour. This is a one-time cost that depends on your artwork — the number of colours, metallic effects and matte/gloss finish.
- The printed foil roll. Foil is printed by the roll, not by the sachet. The minimum roll length often covers more sachets than a first order needs — the extra foil stays in stock for your repeat order.
Because both depend on the final design, an honest manufacturer quotes the printing setup after your artwork is confirmed rather than guessing up front. If a quote looks suspiciously cheap, check whether printing is included at all.
MOQ and cost: realistic numbers
- MOQ: usually around 1,000 boxes per flavour for ready (stock) formulas; custom formulas start higher.
- Cost per box: depends mostly on the actives. A box of 10 coffee or energy sachets sits at the lower end; collagen, glutathione and premium actives push the price up.
- Timeline: plan roughly 45–60 days for a first order (artwork, printing, samples, production) and around 20 days for repeat orders, once cylinders and foil already exist.

- Keep the front of the sachet simple: brand, product name and one claim. Legal text goes on the box.

- Metallic and matte-touch finishes look premium but can add a cylinder; ask for the price difference before you commit.
