How to launch a beauty brand in 8 weeks

Launching a beauty brand can feel overwhelming, but with the right OEM/ODM partner it becomes a structured eight-week sprint. Here is the week-by-week playbook we use with founders at 5FINE.

Weeks 1–2: Concept & positioning

Start with a sharp positioning statement: who you serve, the result you promise, and why you are different. Lock your category (skincare, color, supplements, fragrance), your hero product, and a target retail price. This decides everything downstream — formula cost, packaging tier, and claims.

Weeks 3–4: Formula & samples

Choose between three routes: private label (fastest, our existing formula with your brand), semi-custom (we adjust an existing base — scent, color, active level), or full ODM (a formula developed to your brief). Request samples early and test on real users. Document the actives and claims you can legally make in each target market.

Weeks 5–6: Packaging & design

Packaging is where margins and shelf appeal are won. Confirm primary packaging (bottle, jar, tube), secondary (carton), and finishing (foil, emboss, soft-touch). In parallel, finalize your logo, label artwork, and regulatory text. Build a simple brand kit so everything stays consistent.

Weeks 7–8: Production & launch

Approve the pre-production sample, confirm MOQ and lead time, and place your first order. While production runs, prepare your storefront, product photography, and launch content. By week eight you have stock arriving and a brand ready to sell.

The shortcut

The founders who move fastest do not try to do everything themselves — they pick a manufacturing partner that handles formula, packaging, compliance, and production under one roof. That is exactly what 5FINE is built for.
